Forget Me Knot…So Often

August 19, 2010

There is something so simplistic and delicate that makes Kiel (pronounced as you would “Kyle”) Mead’s Forget Me Knot ring so beautiful. It creates the perfect balance between timeless and trendy, as well as casual and fancy, and seems to be the perfect accessory for any occasion.

But 26-year-old Brooklyn based, Mead is no one hit wonder. Consistently developing innovative ideas for beauty, Mead has created a jewelry line by taking ordinary objects, such as a retainer, a piece of string, or a drill bit, and making them into a beautiful and wearable piece of jewelry. Mead has even used a wad of worn-out bubble gum to model a bright pink gob pendant, teeth marks included at no additional charge.

According to his Web site, http://www.kielmead.com, his work has been highlighted in about 15 magazines, including “New York Magazine” and “InStyle.”

This is definitely a designer that I would recommend checking out as this designer is definitely hard to forget.
